Nourishing and energizing, this class is the perfect addition to any movement and mindfulness practice. If you've ever said, "I need to do yoga, but I'm not flexible enough," then this class is for you! All props are provided.

Restorative yoga is the use of props to support the body in comfortable and relaxed poses to promote health, well-being, and relaxation.
Explore the power of rest and stillness. When the body is still the mind can rest and healing can occur. Restorative Yoga has endless benefits: muscle relaxation, improved health, boosted immune system, improved sleep, lower heart rate, and like my teacher always says: "You can't be anxious and relaxed at the same time," which hints at the benefits: Restorative Yoga can also help with anxiety.

We all need to do more strength training. As yoga practitioners, we tend to focus on stretching. But actually, it is the "strength" that protects us as we age. A strong body gives us resilience. Learn safe and simple techniques to build strength to protect your joints and maintain an upright posture. Just as important as strength is stillness. One conscious breath can change your day. When your body rests in a comfortable position you can withdraw from the outer world and open a gate to your inner world and inner peace. Conscious rest helps reduce stress, teaches you to let go, and supports your health emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Silke approaches the participants with a lot of patience, skill, and attention and encourages everyone to practice at their own pace and according to their own abilities. She offers a variety of options: yoga for energy, strength, relaxation, and flexibility. All of this is framed by her grounding, warm and appreciative presence. Silke's yoga classes are really special and healing on all levels.
